Port Broughton’s inaugural seafood festival Seafood on Spencer is set for Saturday the 2nd of April 2022, and more tickets are on sale now!
Nestled in the Spencer Gulf, Port Broughton is home to some of Australia’s best seafood. Through the Seafood on Spencer festival, the local fishing families and community committee members are creating a day to remember.
Giving guests the experience of fresh, quality seafood from sea to plate, highlighted by the beautiful town backdrop, the Port Broughton foreshore – it is sure to be a relaxing, fun environment for friends and family.
Featuring fresh Spencer Gulf seafood straight from local boats and prepared by some of South Australia’s most innovative chefs, on offer for the day is a wide range of contemporary and traditional seafood dishes highlighting the freshness of local seafood. But don’t worry, there are non-seafood options available on the day as well.
Aside from the culinary experience and complimenting the seaside vibe, there is live music, cooking demonstrations and tasting barbeque, and an SA beverage selection.
- Live music by Port Broughton’s favourite local duo Remfry and Stringer and Adelaide’s popular band, the Baker Boys.
- Cooking demonstrations by MKR contestant Sal Caputo
- Drinks by Sunny Hill Distillery, Watsacowie Brewery, Ohh My Coffee van, and a curated selection of South Australia wines and sparkling.
Take a stroll down Port Broughton’s iconic town jetty and look around the fishing boats or have a chat with the local fisherman during the Q&A session. Guests will also discover the long history of fishing in Port Broughton and its support for sustainable fisheries and family run businesses. There is something for everyone!

Tickets are $20 for adults and include a wine glass or stubby holder on arrival. Under 18 are free (but still require a ticket).
