Morphettville Celebrates Cox Plates Race Day This Saturday

Watch Black Caviar hit the track on the big screen

This Saturday 22 October Australia’s ‘super mare’ Black Caviar hits the track at Moonee Valley in a bid to clock up her 15th consecutive win, and there’s no better place in Adelaide to watch this wonder horse in action than at Morphettville Racecourse.

As part of its Spring Carnival celebrations, the South Australian Jockey Club will deliver its own thrilling nine race program this Saturday to coincide with the Tatts Cox Plate Day of racing at Moonee Valley in Melbourne.

In between the on-course action at Morphettville, patrons will be able to watch all the excitement from Moonee Valley on the big screen.

The Melbourne program includes the running of Australia’s richest weight-for-age showdown of the year, the $3 million Tatts Cox Plate (Group 1) and the Schweppes Stakes (Group 2), where Black Caviar will look to stretch her winning streak to 15.

A terrific range of Black Caviar apparel and merchandise will be on sale at Morphettville, so fans can cheer Australia’s wonder horse past the finish line in style.

The Black Caviar range features a striking salmon and black colour scheme and includes lapel pins, caps and stubby holders.

Best of all, you can purchase any item in stock, at the track, for exactly the same price as online.

So celebrate one of the biggest events on Australia’s turf calendar with a day at the track in Adelaide and a fantastic local racing program.
