A Mount Gambier woman is celebrating a life-changing moment after her special numbers, played consistently for over 40 years, delivered her a division one win of over $580,000 in the weekend’s Saturday X Lotto draw.

The South Australian resident was one of 17 division one winners in Saturday’s X Lotto draw 4537, with each winning entry securing $588,235.30.

The longtime Lotto player was enjoying a quiet morning watching television when she received the surprise call from The Lott confirming her win.

“You’re joking! You’re joking!” she cheered.

“I’ve been playing for over 40 years with my special numbers. Oh wow. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

“I am just over the moon. I really am excited. You’ve completely made my day.”

When asked how she planned to use her prize, the elated winner revealed her excitement about sharing her good fortune with her family.

“I can share it with family!” she said.

“Oh gosh, I can’t wait to give everyone a call after this and tell them the amazing news. Thank you so much!”

The winning 10-game entry was purchased at J N Davidson Newsagency, located at 37 Church Street, Penola.

Owner John Davidson expressed his joy at selling the store’s first-ever division one winning ticket.

“I was stunned when I saw we had sold a winning entry but so excited at the same time,” he said.

“This is our first time selling a division one winning entry, so we are over the moon!

“We’ll be putting up balloons and signs to share the good news and celebrate. Our customers are all thrilled and have been extending their good wishes to us and the lucky winner.

“Congratulations to them, and we wish you all the best with your prize.”

The winning numbers in Saturday’s X Lotto draw 4537 were 6, 19, 29, 18, 8, and 38, with supplementary numbers 15 and 45.

Across Australia, 17 division one entries shared the jackpot, including seven winners in Victoria, four in New South Wales, two in South Australia, one in Queensland, and three in Western Australia.

The Lott’s division one tally for the financial year has now reached 268. In the previous financial year, Saturday X Lotto created 158 millionaires across Australia, with 292 division one winning entries collectively taking home more than $436 million.

With another division one winner added to the list, the year is already shaping up to be one of joy and celebration for Lotto players nationwide.
