Move Over Uber, Ola Has Arrived!

Ola, one of the world’s largest ride sharing platforms, is now available in Adelaide following successful launches in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Here’s what you need to know!

Ola, one of the world’s largest ride sharing platforms, is now available in Adelaide following successful launches in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
Ola is continuing its mission to provide Australia’s best ride share experience across seven major metropolitan cities, facilitating over 1,500,000 rides since launch in February. This is contributed by the strong response received from driver-partners, with over 40,000 registered Australia-wide.
Newly appointed Managing Director for Ola Australia, Simon Smith said, “The milestone of facilitating over one and a half million rides is testament to passengers and driver-partners choosing Ola over competitors. We are excited to launch in our seventh metro city in a matter of months, as we continue our expansion across the country and provide a better rideshare experience for all Australians.”
He further added, “We encourage all Adelaidians to download the app and experience the Ola way to move.”
To celebrate its launch in Adelaide, Ola is offering discounted rides from today. Customers can download the Ola app either from Google Play or iOS App Store, register for an Ola account and begin booking rides.
Ola places driver-partners and quality of rides for passengers front and centre, and receives feedback from customers to understand their needs and enhance their rideshare experience. This includes regular updates to the Ola app to improve customer experience, strengthening the local support team and providing new passenger promotions.
Ola continues to build trust with its driver-partners by offering higher earnings and a range of initiatives and welcomes driver-partners in Adelaide to sign up and reap the benefits of a market low 7.5% introductory commission rate and daily payments.
Over the coming months, Ola is working with local stakeholders to continue its rollout in Australia, with future launch cities including Darwin and Hobart. More details on new cities will be shared in the near future.
