Mr Potato has welcomed their third Adelaide store at the Para Hills Shopping Centre, and plans are already underway to open up two more.
Mr Potato was launched back in 2018 by potato lovers Tyson Hoffmann and Jess Davis, with a potato-fueled mission of creating nutritional, healthy and delicious fast food meal choices.
Last year the couple made spud-tacular news by opening up their second health-conscious concept store in Hyde Park, giving Unley-siders a taste of their delicious spuds.
Flash forward to today, and the dynamic duo has just opened the doors to a Mr Potato at the Para Hills Shopping Centre.
Having officially opened on Tuesday this week, the grand opening will be held across next weekend, Saturday 10 October and Sunday 11 October.
The grand opening will have giveaways and a giant prize wheel with your chance to win some awesome prizes.
At Mr Potato eateries, you get to construct loaded potatoes in whichever way you please by choosing from their famous, pre-loaded menu.
There are also pre-loaded menu items to choose from. Fan favourites include the Aussie Tator with beef ragu, bacon, kale-slaw or coleslaw, beetroot, carrot and pineapple, and the Lady Peeler with spinach, bacon, roast capsicum, quinoa tabouli, avocado and salsa.
Mr Potato caters for all dietary requirements, with a range of vegetarian and vegan options to choose from.
“We’ve seen vegan sales sky rocket lately, so we have introduced a completely vegan menu that uses vegan alternatives to meat and cheese,” says Jess.
Every month, Mr Potato showcases a brand new loaded spud. This month, it’s a Caesar Salad number, with slow-cooked chicken, bacon, GF croutons and Caesar dressing.
High customer demand may see this loaded spud become a regular menu item.
If you haven’t already seen it, Jess and Tyson have produced a web series that depicts the couple’s highs and lows of opening the new Para Hills Mr Potato.
“We thought it would be a good idea for our customers to see the behind the scene’s process we go through to open a new store,” says Tyson.
“We’ve put our heart and soul into this and the series shows how we do all the fit-outs ourselves … except for plumbing and electrical,” he continues.
“From day one everyone has been so supportive of our journey,” says Jess.
Tyson and Jess have just sold their first franchise in the Gold Coast, and plans are already underway to open Mr Potato’s fourth and fifth stores.
Mr Potato prides itself on providing the best and freshest quality produce, with the team using low carb white potatoes that have 25% fewer carbs than your average potato.
All menu items are low-fat, low sugar, low-carb, and health conscious, plus the entire range of ingredients is sourced locally where possible.
Mr Potato have also launched their new cold press juice range, available in a range of flavours.
