A cosy new addition has arrived at Carrick Hill this winter, with a pop-up coffee bar by the team at Mrs Sippy. Known for their retro style and top-notch brews, they’ll now be serving up their signature coffee and sweet treats in one of Adelaide’s most scenic spots.
From 10am to 2pm, Wednesday to Sunday, the Mrs Sippy team will be on deck serving up takeaway coffee, croissants, toasties, and a daily selection of homemade sweet treats. Located near the new visitor precinct, it’s the perfect pit stop for those enjoying the views of the formal rose gardens and hedges.
“We’re doing a lot of really yummy toasties, there’s a delicious pastrami toastie. Ham and cheese croissants, Portuguese custard tarts, hot cinnamon doughnuts, and all sorts of coffee and cold drinks,” shared Courtney from the Mrs Sippy team.
Mrs Sippy has been around since 2019, born out of the idea to create a coffee on wheels style business. The brand has since grown, and their coffee carts, caravans and cars can be spotted at events all over the state.
“We’ve got a few vintage caravans that we do events out of around Adelaide. We specialise in pop-up cafes around Adelaide,” said Courtney.
“Our vans are very booked up, so we didn’t actually have a van available, but I did have some stuff ready to set up in the space, and it’s going good.”
Now at Carrick Hill, you’ll be able to browse the historic building and grounds with a coffee in hand, or enjoy a picnic with a hot drink or treat.
Carrick Hill also has a casual dining, modern Mediterranean restaurant called Rozelle’s, where you’ll find antipasti, pizzas and a series of dishes cooked in the wood fire oven. Rozelle’s comes from the Favaro Group team, who also own Chianti and Bar Torino on Hutt Street.
If you’re in need of a coffee after 2pm, Rozelle’s are serving until 4:30pm.
