Mt Bera Vineyards is bringing a taste of the Adelaide Hills to the city this month, with two intimate wine dinners celebrating their certified organic wines, small-batch releases, and delicious food pairings. At these dinners, Mt Bera’s team, Led by winemaker Conor Brasier and owner Greg Horner, the Mt Bera team will showcase the artistry behind their new organic vintages and experimental winemaking approach.
Kicking off the series will be a dinner at the historic Rising Sun Inn in Kensington on Tuesday, November 12th. This will mark an incredible 180 years of the beloved establishment. Limited to just 70 guests, the evening will start with a roaming cellar door experience from 5:30pm, where the Mt Bera team will share a selection of wines before guests sit down to a curated four-course dinner. Dishes include seared scallops with taramasalata and pickled cucumber, confit duck leg with saffron-poached pear and chestnut, and a shared cheese platter to finish. Every course has been thoughtfully matched to highlight the complexity and balance of Mt Bera’s wines, including an exciting limited-release Pinot Noir.
Later in the month, on Thursday, November 27th, Mt Bera will take over OZIN restaurant in Adelaide’s east end. Limited to just 60 guests, this five-course dinner will see Mt Bera’s winemaker Conor Brasier join forces with chefs from Mt Bera Restaurant and OZIN to create a menu celebrating creativity and craftsmanship. Guests will again be treated to a selection of Mt Bera’s wines, including the newly released Blaufränkisch and Mencía varietals, alongside a showcase of their small-batch innovations. A pop-up Mt Bera Cellar Door will open from 6pm, giving guests a chance to explore and taste the range before sitting down for a night of remarkable food and wine.
