In the bustling northern suburbs of Adelaide plans have been unveiled for an exciting new community hub and a number of townhouses.
Located just a stone’s throw away from The Grove Shopping Centre and adjacent to the Pedare Christian School, the proposed community centre and apartment complex will house a plethora of amenities to cater to every need. From a cutting-edge fitness centre to a 92-place childcare facility ensuring the youngest members of the community are nurtured in a safe and stimulating environment.
Additionally, plans include an allied health centre, a medical clinic, a pharmacy, and even radiology services, providing comprehensive healthcare solutions conveniently under one roof. And let’s not forget the provision for 51 parking spaces, ensuring seamless access for visitors and patrons alike.
But wait, there’s more. On the eastern corner of this sprawling land, 22 two-storey residential flats are proposed to rise, offering a blend of two and three-bedroom layouts. With the option of two car parks per unit, residents will enjoy both comfort and convenience in equal measure, all within a vibrant community setting.
This isn’t the first development of it’s kind to proposed to help tackle the growing population of Adelaide’s north.
Plans to build a new multi-million dollar community centre on the outskirts of Angle Vale were lodged in February, which will look to bring a petrol station, fast food outlet, child care centre, medical centre, gymnasium, swim centre and service trade premises across nearly 20,000 square metres along Bain road.
According to the proposal the petrol station will house a 12-pump system while the childcare centre will be large enough to accommodate 109 places and help with the high demand of early learning centres across the state. The site will also house a two-storey medical centre, with a total of 18 consulting rooms. A swim centre and a gymnasium have also been proposed for the site.
The report states that while the development may stick out in its current setting, the area is slowly transitioning from ‘rural living’ to a zone will eventually house a wide range of different businesses.
While both projects still need to jump through several more hoops, if you are currently in the housing market and want to make sure there is a thriving community hub in your area, best be sure to keep Adelaide’s north as a place holder.
