The biggest day on the Spring Racing calendar is set to get a whole lot bigger as M One Eight events together with Principal Partner Greaton activate Victoria Square with the uber chic ‘Rose Garden’ this Melbourne Cup day.
This boutique, inner city race day event offers a musical, culinary and festival experience like no other, whilst offering a range of ticketing options to provide the best in corporate and casual hospitality.
“We understand that not everyone can celebrate the whole Melbourne Cup day,” says M One Eight Director, Marcus Capaldo. “We have therefore developed a concept that is accessible to everybody. If you want to spend the whole day partying, or can only leave the office during the afternoon or kick on into the night with evening entertainment after work, The Rose Garden caters for all.”
The Rose Garden is a true showcase of all things South Australian, offering dining options from iconic Adelaide restaurants including the likes of Madame Hanoi, Coal Cellar & Grill, Andre’s Cucina and the award winning Gaucho’s Argentinean and Bar Torino.
“Our aim was to create an open air event that brings together the best flavours and sounds our state has to offer. From food and wine to entertainment and services, The Rose Garden is all about promoting and collaborating with South Australian businesses,” says Capaldo.
Guests can enjoy a musical journey featuring an array of artists including Australia’s number one RNB radio DJ, DJ Horizon, and international act Electric Fields, with more special guests to be announced to keep the party going into the night.
There will also be a style station, braid bar, make up touch ups and gents grooming services available throughout the day. Katelyn Ellery of Ellery Events will bring Race Day inspired fashion with a Designer Showcase featuring emerging designers, boutiques and labels.
Also featuring a La Mumm Bar, The Absolut Experience Vodka Bar, Bocce area and a cigar lounge, there truly is something for everyone, with the big race also shown on big screens.
For those wanting to kick on past 9.30pm, The Rose Garden has partnered with The Collins Bar and Crowne & Sceptre as the exclusive after party venues, with the Hilton Hotel and Treasury Hotel also having exclusive accommodation rates available for attendees.
In addition to the main party on Tuesday 7 November, The Rose Garden will also be accessible on Monday 6 November, with a free community event featuring live entertainment, street food style pop-up restaurants and appearances and cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs Saskia Beer and Heather Day. The space will be open from 11.30am – 7pm and is suitable for families on the Monday.
The Rose Garden combines the best of the state in a one-stop-hub of entertainment, fashion, food and fun in the heart of the CBD, and is set to electrify Adelaide with a Melbourne Cup event like no other.
