The Adelaide mother of 2 was named Finalist in both the Service Award and in the major category of AusMumpreneur of the Year. Additionally, she found out later that very same day she had also been chosen as finalist in the inaugural Women in Innovation SA Awards.

The 2014 St.George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards are presented by The AusMumpreneur Network, celebrating mums in business who are achieving outstanding success in entrepreneurship, product development, services and innovation in businesses throughout Australia and New Zealand.

St.George Banking Group’s head of SME, Chris Screen said the awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

“We’re seeing an increasing amount of mothers who are now starting and growing successful businesses, often from their home office. Small businesses play a vital role in Australia’s economy and our focus at St.George is to help business owners prosper and grow.  “The caliber of the award finalists is extremely strong and provides a great inspiration for other Australians considering starting their own business,” he said.

Belinda is understandably thrilled to be a finalist in The St.George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards. “The entire awards process allows nominees to reflect on their business experience and achievements, highlight opportunities and often celebrate the achievements that we tend to overlook when we’re so busy and sometimes caught up in the day to day business, family and lifestyle,” she said.

“Four years ago I started a preloved children’s marketplace which very quickly rolled out nationally and formed Australian Baby Bargains (www.babybargains.com.au). Since then, we’ve developed a 190,000 strong online parenting community to include my latest go-to hub for mums, offer authentic parenting advice, with a real mum-to-mum focus – Mum Central (www.mumcentral.com.au). The entire community has helped to drive, shape and innovate what we have today, with a very clear focus away from the typical expert opinion, and focusing on the highly sought-after mum-to-mum experiences” something Jennings says, is not often seen online these days.”

Winners of the 2014 Women in Innovation SA Awards will be announced Wednesday 17th September, whilst the 2014 St.George Banking Group AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced at a glamorous gala event on Saturday, 11 October in Melbourne, during the AusMumpreneur Conference.
