Spring season is going to be loaded with some of Australia’s best alternative music acts. For Adelaide, it’s more like one jam-packed winter day.

Spring Loaded Festival, a national alternative festival that begins in May and runs through November, is hitting Adelaide on Saturday, June 26. The festival will feature heaps of great bands and run in cities all across the country.

Headliners Grinspoon, You Am I, and Regurgitator will rock the stage at Adelaide Entertainment centre to provide a day of mid-winter fun. They’ll be joined by acts Magic Dirt and Frenzal Rhomb.

Spring Loaded is excited about their line-up and says it aims to be a reincarnation of popular Aussie festivals of the past.

“With a colossal lineup dripping in 90s Aussie alt rock nostalgia, 2021’s shows boast a haul of the decade’s most celebrated acts,” they say.

“Nine festival dates set to rock around Australia in a bid to pay homage to some of the country’s most beloved festivals gone by including Big Day Out and Homebake.”

Popular band Jedediah won’t attend Adelaide’s show, but will play at numerous other Spring Loaded festivals. They’re excited for the gig.

“We can’t wait to get back together with some of our great mates and play some rock n bloody roll,” they say.

Tickets for the festival go on sale today, Wednesday, March 24.
