Australia’s most popular music stars will help launch Christmas at Myer in each CBD store

From 8 November, every Myer store around the country will schedule, on weekends and selected key dates, a whole host of fun activities including children’s face painting, balloon artists, musical performances, appearances by children’s characters, cosmetics workshops and children’s Christmas book readings.

For the first time in Australia, launching on 8 November, Myer has teamed up with Instagram to debut a huge digital screen in one of the Myer Sydney City windows which will flash Instagram images featuring the #Giftorium.

For those with a sweet tooth, every weekend from 8 November, the all-new Myer Treat Street will be in the Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth stores. Roving Treat Street assistants will offer customers enticing free sweets to enjoy whilst shopping.

Giftorium forms part of Myer’s wider annual Christmas campaign with events and sponsorships across the country including the 59th Myer Melbourne Christmas Windows, Myer Brisbane Christmas Windows, Vision Australia’s Carols by Candlelight presented by Myer, the Myer Hobart Christmas Pageant and Myer Brisbane Christmas Parade & Pantomine and a new partnership in Sydney with Myer Carols in the City, presented by the Sebastian Foundation.

Myer will continue its long standing partnership with The Salvation Army to raise funds towards assisting families in need. The joint Power of Give Christmas campaign is in its second year, allowing Myer customers to make a donation to The Salvation Army in a single transaction when they buy in store. Myer also supports the charity through further initiatives including sales of the popular Spirit of Christmas CD that has raised more than $7.5 million dollars over the past 20 years.
