Wednesday the 30th of June is the opening night of an exhibition showing works from photo‐media artists Jen Brazier, Edward James and Danielle Walpole. The exhibition will be opened by Dr Domenico de Clario, Director of the Australian Experimental Art Foundation at 6pm and will then be open from Thursday 4th July to Thursday 22nd July.
Brazier, James and Walpole all graduated from the TAFE SA Adelaide College of the Arts in 2003. The artists are returning to Light Square Gallery to present a new body of solo work in this latest exhibition entitled New Work.
The artists have collaborated for many years as part of the Shoot Artists Collective, a new media group that has gained much recognition through public art commissions, festivals and events.
“Primarily figurative works are explored. Jen Brazier links fragility, security and fear in dramatic myth like images, Danielle Walpole is inspired by reflective childhood memories and Edward James reveals a distilled essence.” Gallery Director and Visual Arts Lecturer, Yasmin Grass says of the exhibition.
