Reality Stars Launch Meat-Filled Food Truck CARŌclub

Tim and Kyle from MKR are bringing their dude food to the masses with their food truck, CARŌclub.

If you’ve watched My Kitchen Rules this year (let’s be real, who hasn’t?) you may remember two Adelaide boys by the name of Tim and Kyle. With a love of all things meat, they created some truly memorable dishes on the show. Bringing their superb cooking skills back home, they’re set to take Adelaide by storm with their new food truck venture: CARŌclub.

Teaming up with their best mate and head chef Kain (formerly Bread & Bone, Street, NOMA), they’ve created a delicious menu full of meat-focussed dishes with influence from North, Central, South America & Asia. The Latin word for meat, Carō, inspired the name of the food truck, which you’ll likely see at an event near you as they fill up their schedule for summer.

Not trying to reinvent the food truck scene and aiming to keep it authentic and real, the main difference is their focus on meat, whether it’s smoked, braised, BBQ or slow cooked. Think a smoked lamb sanga, pork chilli dog, Chinese pork and beef meatball sub and Kimchi poutine. With vegetarian options available at events upon request, they have something for literally everyone.

Cleverly capitalising on the success the show bought them, Tim and Kyle deciding moving into a food-related was in their future. Rather than setting up a brick and mortar store for their first venue, they saw the huge hype food trucks bring to Adelaide and set themselves up to follow in the mania-inducing footsteps.

Coming from a wide array of careers, their mutual love of food and meat brought them together with one vision. Kyle put a hold on his travelling lifestyle, Tim got away from radio sales, and they recruited Kain who’s been working in restaurants all over Adelaide. With all the boys growing up around food in one way or another, it was almost inevitable for them to end up here.

Keep an eye out for them on the street and at various events around Adelaide, including the Morphettville Racecourse Spring Carnival and Spring Affair in McLaren Vale. Looking to put a twist on the classic corporate event, wedding or birthday party? They do that too, but you’ll need to get in quick because they’re filling up fast.

The one thing they’ve been saying whole way through is that they cook food that they love knowing that you’ll love it too, and we can’t argue with that.
