Kicking off with a collaboration with one of our favourite destinations, the National Wine Centre of Australia‘s wine dinners have returned!

With a delayed start to the annual series of their famous wine dinners, the National Wine Centre will once again host superb culinary experiences for 2020 in a collaboration with one of our favourite tourism regions and one that has certainly borne the brunt of everything this tough year has had to offer

The Kangaroo Island wine dinner on 26 August will see a pairing of the most delectable food and wine from this magnificent region.

The event will be hosted by Yale Norris from Islander Estate Vineyards, and we have a sneak peek to the menu which will feature KI Lamb, KI Honey, KI Nanoguy Fish, heritage Hill Game Birds Pheasant.

The full wine list is yet to be released but expect 2016 The Islander Majestic Plough, and 2019 False Cape Wilson River Riesling.

Well-known for producing food as it was meant to taste, Kangaroo Island’s abundant seasonal produce including garlic, lamb, seafood, lavender and honey is complemented by an exciting and blossoming wine region.

Guests will enjoy a four course set menu created by the Centre’s award-winning catering team led by Executive Chef, Steven Clark showcasing many of the island’s food producers with wine pairings local to the Kangaroo Island region that have been hand-selected by Head Sommelier James Boden.

This event will be a feast for the senses and is sure to leave you seeking Kangaroo Island products for use in your own home cooking.

To complete your Kangaroo Island experience book into the NWC at Home masterclass focusing on the region the following night, Thursday 27 August from the comfort of your own home.
