National Wine Centre Offering New Tours & Tastings

The award winning National Wine Centre of Australia has unveiled a fresh schedule of tours and tastings that incorporate several new features including chocolate and wine tastings and visitation to the mini vineyard being planted alongside the new wetland area adjacent the centre.

The new schedule of tours follows the release earlier in 2012, of a brand news series of tasting opportunities specifically designed for larger function groups.  Lucy Harrland, Wine Media & Tourism co-ordinator  said ’these packages have been exceptionally well received by our corporate and private function hosts who are always seeking new and innovative ways to ensure their function remains as memorable as possible to their guests.’

As a major tourist attraction The National Wine Centre of Australia is perfect for visitors who wish to sample a selection of wines from across the nation without perhaps having the time to physically visit the various regions.  Others use the tour and tasting opportunities at the National Wine Centre as a perfect introduction to the various regions and may then follow with a visit to the actual wineries they like.

The iconic building and number of options available to visitors further enhance its status as an important feature of both the wine and tourist industries.

One of the key features of the National Wine Centre is the interactive Wine Experience taking visitors from the vine to the bottle – this may be undertaken as part of a hosted or self guided tour.

Full details of all tours – which are suitable for everyone from the wine novice to the connoisseur, are below with prices starting from $5 per person.  Guests may decide to co-incide their tour with lunch at the Concourse Cafe which in summer has outdoor seating overlooking the magnificent Botanic gardens.
