Nestled in the heart of Stirling on Mount Barker Road, Naughty Neighbour is the brainchild of two local families passionate about fostering community, connection, and great hospitality.
Co-owner Tara explains the venue’s name.
“Our Naughty Neighbour motto says it all – Everybody needs one – we aim to be the go-to place in the local community where people can unwind, socialise, and soak in the good vibes,” said Tara.
“Naughty Neighbour came from the fact that the four owners, myself and Ben, and our actual in-real-life neighbours Michaela and Dougald, have resided side-by-side in Stirling for 14 years.”
“We have a gate at the bottom of our backyards providing access for our families to go between houses. It used to be our children crawling through the gate, and then it progressed to us adults crawling through the gate with a wine bottle or two in hand,” she laughs.
“When the opportunity to start a café and bar presented itself, we were super excited, and it’s been a really fun project.”

Serving up freshly roasted local coffee alongside a delicious selection of easy breakfast options, including brekky wraps and croissants, this café is set to be Stirling’s new coffee haven. For those who love a great night out, Naughty Neighbour switches on the hot pink neon which declares the bar is open. From Thursday to Sunday nights, it offers an impressive selection of local wines, snazzy cocktails, and signature long necks in ice buckets, perfect for sharing with friends. Food created by Callie in the kitchen includes homemade small share plates with delicious items like goat cheese arancini balls, sticky beef spring rolls and falafel. “We’ve literally just opened the doors, as a soft opening, and are still testing out what works, and we’re very open to community suggestions as we grow,” added Tara.
