Launching Saturday 18 July, Feast on Dumplings will take Feasters to four food venues where they can experience the flavours of Russian, Korean, Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine through their take on the dumpling.

Lord Mayor Martin Haese said it is inspiring to see a local business that uses Splash Adelaide’s support to grow and expand.

“Feast on Foot is a good example of the way Splash Adelaide can help kick start local entrepreneurs ideas within Adelaide City,” said Martin.

“It is a great way to experience the sights, smells and flavours of Adelaide, guided by people passionate about our city’s diverse food and street art scene. Owner Caitlin Hillison started up Feast on Foot with her husband Terry in October 2014 with the Feast on the Street tour and is ecstatic that her business has been able to introduce another tour to the ranks.

“We hope to have at least two more tour options by this time next year, which are at concept stage and will take the learnings from Feast on Dumplings and Feast on the Street, so watch out for those,” said Caitlin.

“Steamed or fried and stuffed with delicious fillings, Feast on Dumplings will showcase the different ways the little pockets of joy can be enjoyed.

“Feast on Foot loves to support small local businesses and all of the venues on our tour are locals. We like to support local and family businesses by giving their delicious food extra exposure.

“Including street art in the tour came organically and we found people were interested in seeing some of the more quirky things around the streets that they wouldn’t normally notice or be exposed to,” she said.

The tour is $49 all-inclusive with 10 spots available every Saturday. Tickets can be purchased online from the Feast on Foot website www.feastonfoot.com.
