Boasting a full-size basketball court, picnic areas, sheltered spaces and a heap of BBQs, there’s plenty of features that the entire family can enjoy.
For the little ones, expect a flying fox, a nature play area, musical instruments and climbing equipment.
The all-abilities playspace also features a ‘Communication Board’, which features a range of symbols to make communication accessible for those who are non-verbal.
You will find a Changing Places facility including a height adjustable change table and ceiling hoist to provide suitable facilities for people who cannot use standard accessible toilets.
All abilities inclusions in the playspace includes a range of sensory and accessible equipment such as accessible in-ground trampolines, musical instruments, a Liberty Swing, an accessible carousel and an all-abilities slide.
You will also find wheelchair accessible benches, barbecues and water fountains.
The unveiling of the playspace signals the completion of Stage 2 of the Fremont Park redevelopment.
Up to $2 million in funding was secured for this new playspace, with $1 million provided by the South Australian Government.
