The flourishing northern suburbs of Adelaide will be welcoming a new and sophisticated shopping centre in Angle Vale, with an expected opening date in late November 2026 to be announced. The $50m bulky goods precinct features more than 9,000sqm of retail space and will include SA’s very first Choice The Discount Store, as well as Petstock, Supercheap Auto, Salvos, Beacon Lighting, and the RSPCA Charity Op Shop.
The project is being led by Sagle Constructions and the shopping district will be located on the corner of Curtis Road and the Northern Expressway. The precinct will be opened seven days a week, with a strong view on ease of accessibility and a broad design intending to make shopping simple and efficient. Before construction had even begun, already 90% of retail spaces had been pre-leased.

Located at the entranceway to Adelaide’s northern suburbs, developer 1835 Property stated that the strong pre-leasing result reflects surging demand in one of South Australia’s fastest-growing residential corridors, with the retail district set to serve thousands of households within a 10-minute drive.
“This project is all about confidence and another example of 1835 Property collaborating with State Government, council and the community in delivering another precinct-shaping development,” said 1835 Property Managing Director Jason Di Iulio.
“Angle Vale Precinct will anchor the heart of Adelaide’s expanding northern corridor, supporting more than 5,000 new homes across The Entrance, Riverlea, Miravale, 23 North and Hillsview Green. This is one of South Australia’s the fastest growing regions forecast to account for 40% of Greater Adelaide’s population growth, yet large-format retail remains under represented,” Mr Di Iulio disclosed.
“Our vision is to create a centre that brings trusted national brands, everyday convenience and long term benefits for local residents,” 1835 Property Director Joseph Scali said.

The Minister for Housing and Urban Development and Member for Taylor, Hon. Nick Champion MP stated that the project highlights the importance of pairing housing delivery with essential local infrastructure to support expanding communities.
“It’s essential that we aren’t just building more homes, but building communities and suburbs where people want to live. This retail precinct will serve as an anchor for housing growth in Angle Vale and beyond,” he said.
Glenn Docherty, Mayor for the City of Playford also expressed his delight for the project and its benefits.
“This is a big win for our community. Developments like this bring more than shops, they create local jobs, reduce travel time and give families better access to the retail and services they’ve been calling for,” he said.
The surrounding region is undergoing considerable transformation, endorsed by major government investment to correlate with growth. A $250 million upgrade to Curtis Road and a $59 million expansion of water and sewer infrastructure are set to unlock more than 1,400 additional homes across the region. With Angle Vale Precinct being the first stage of a larger mixed-use plan for the site.
While stage one is verging on being almost fully leased, future phases will offer additional opportunities for both retail and commercial tenants. “This is just the beginning,” Mr Di Iulio said. “Kennards Self Storage have already committed to Stage 2 and we look forward to continuing to expand this retail offering to the community.”

Construction officially commenced last Friday as Angle Vale is prepared to break new ground.
