NEW restaurant Sora, set to soar into the city this July

Multi-million dollar CBD restaurant ‘Sora’ is set to open in July.

Adelaide is set to experience a new hospitality offering this Winter, with a new restaurant ‘Sora’ opening in the city.

The multi-million dollar fit out of the new CBD restaurant has begun on the rooftop of 89 Pirie Street, under the guidance of renowned chef Adam Liston.

The creative force behind nightspot Plain Jane in Tarik Nasser-Eddine and Giuseppe Alvaro have created Sora from the ground up and partnered with Nate Scutter and Adam Liston to execute this project.

Sora is an impressive project that will be able to seat over 100 people in the dining area and will have a separate open kitchen dining experience along with a private Chef’s table accomodating 12-14 people.

The space has also been designed to support a rooftop and beautiful mezzanine area and a cigar lounge.

The legacy of legendary culinary venues continues for successful chef Adam Liston and his business partner Nate Scutter with this new project.

Liston previously looked at the site over 4 years ago so when the opportunity presented itself for himself and Scutter to develop Sora at the location, he couldn’t resist.

“We were not thinking or seeking something of this size but after some thought we decided to embark on something that has never been done before,” said Adam Liston.

With Liston well known for culinary creations Shobosho, Shosho Izakaya and Sho Yakitori, the new location will also be inspired by his love of Asian cuisine.

“The location has an offering that is open to anyone whether you are looking for something intimate or bite sized or more premium.

“I have a strong passion for Japanese food and that shines through the collaborations that we participate in, in particular this adventure with Sora,” said Liston.

The project is an enormous operation with the focus for the pair being the creation of an accessible space for everyone, appealing to all senses.

“Sora is very European in respect to its style and its concept and the welcoming nature, vast offering of food, entertainment and ambiance, combined with architectural elegance and sophisticated design” said Scutter.

Sora is due to launch early financial year.
