Foodies of Adelaide get ready, A Taste of The Hills Festival is coming this March promising an extensive list of activities as well as local food and drinks all weekend.
Need something fun to fill up a weekend in your March calendar? We’ve got the perfect thing for all your weekend necessities, whether it be a glass of wine or a gin tasting, challenging your inner artist or learning some new yoga poses, A Taste of The Hills Festival will have it all.
The festival is focused on supporting local businesses in the Adelaide Hills and everything they have to offer, highlighting great local businesses and showcasing their talent, this event is a celebration of produce, food, wine, beer, gin, and cider all at one venue.
Event Founder, Holly Stratton, is beaming with excitement to bring together a stellar line-up to the hills and give Adelaidians a day full of tastings, beverages, horses, art, and yoga.
“This is the first event that we’ve ever run so we’re so excited to showcase all of the incredible businesses that are participating, think of Cellar Door Fest but in the hills and showcasing Adelaide Hills businesses, that’s us!”
With plenty of participating vendors such as the award-winning Prancing Pony Brewery and their hand-crafted beers, Barristers Block’s premium wines and delicious cold-pressed juices from Besa juice, this is truly a unique opportunity to experience some of Adelaide Hill’s best businesses all together.
“The Academy of Dressage is going to be home to this event, we’ll have something for everyone here, whether it be a soft drink, wine, gin or vodka it’ll be there, get ready to indulge in delicious treats like pizza or ice cream while you wander around the property and pet the horses,”
Among the many great beverage options that will be available on the day, there will be many activities that you can add to your ticket price for an extra charge, this includes Yoga n’ Sip, Flower Crown n’ Sip, Paint a Horse n’ Sip, a Wine and Cheese Pairing Masterclass and a Wine and Chocolate Pairing Masterclass.
Being a property filled with horses, the Paint a Horse n’ Sip activity is sure to be a hit, sip on a glass of wine and pet the horses as you channel your inner artist and paint the ponies as best you can.
Not only has event founder Holly brought together some great local businesses to showcase their talents at the festival, but she has also decided not to charge a fee to the vendors, saying that it’s important to support local businesses and she wanted to give every business of every size a chance to attend no matter the cost.
“On top of supporting these local businesses, we’ve also decided that 5% of the profits will go towards the Wombat Awareness Org, I had heard about them on the radio and found everything they’re doing for wildlife after the floods so inspiring, I desperately wanted to help!”.
