It’s well known that finishing off a night without visiting the original Pancake Kitchen is Adelaide sacrilege.

Nestled between the crannies of Hindley and Currie Street, the 24/7 diner has long been a destination for hungry pancake-seekers.

Tomorrow, the Pancake Kitchen is landing in Modbury’s Triangle Shopping Centre with its second outlet.

Since 1965, the Pancake Kitchen has expanded its menu to include everything from steak and chips to supreme sandwiches.

Whether you are kicking off your day with a pancake stack drizzling in maple syrup or finishing off the night with a pancake drowning in lashers of bacon, there’s barely a topping that the Pancake Kitchen hasn’t tried.

From Friday 13 December, Modbury’s Triangle City will be basking in the drool-worthy aromas of endless stacks of buttery pancakes.

While the newest incarnation of the Pancake Kitchen won’t be open all-night to settle those sporadic sugar cravings, the Modbury store has landed just in time to bookend your Christmas shopping in nearby Westfield.

While foodie trends have come and gone for over 50 years, the Pancake Kitchen has been at the finger-licking forefront of South Aussie cuisine.

Where else can you get a Bavarian Apple pancake stack with a side of chunky cottage fired potatoes and a pint of beer. Did we mention this place was iconic?

To kick off, The Pancake Kitchen in Modbury will be open from 7am until 11pm Monday to Friday, and 7am until midnight on Saturday and Sunday.
