Adelaide’s Famous Poffertjes Parlour pop-up is now open

The Royal Adelaide Show may be cancelled but it doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy your favourite show foods elsewhere.

Adelaide’s Famous Poffertjes Parlour stall is now open in the Adelaide Central Markets.

Get in quick as the pop-up stall will only be there for the last three weeks of September.

Poffertjes is a traditional, Dutch dessert resembling small, fluffy pancakes, often served with icing sugar and butter.

Adelaide’s Famous Poffertjes Parlour has long been a loved stall at the Royal Adelaide Show, serving traditional Poffertjes to patrons.

Due to this year’s cancellation of the Royal Adelaide Show given the COVID-19 crisis, an alternate location for the pop-up had to be found.

Enter the Adelaide Central Market’s Producer in Residence stall.

Intended to showcase local, artisan producers, the Producer in Residence stall has been a much-loved addition to the CBD foodie destination.

Some of the toppings on offer include the traditional butter and cinnamon, lemon and cream, sour cream, rum butter, and a range of sweet syrups.

A brand new range of syrup toppings will also be available at the pop-up store over the three-week period.

So, if you’re a fan of Adelaide’s Famous Poffertjes Parlour, or you’re keen to taste this fluffy, pancake-like delicacy, head on over to the Central Markets.

You can find Adelaide’s Famous Poffertjes Parlour at the Adelaide Central Markets from September 8 to September 26.
