New Bar & Restaurant ‘fourth.’ Opens in Glenelg

Here’s the low down on Adelaide’s newest bar and restaurant, fourth.

2020 is starting with a bang, with the launch of a brand new bar and restaurant on January 1st on Jetty Road, Glenelg called fourth.

The main focus of fourth. is on the bar and night time trade, offering fresh cocktails, a boutique wine list from all parts of the world, craft beers and extensive range of whisky and gin.

Their food menu is all designed around social eating, where you order share plates for the table for everyone to enjoy.

The food is sourced as much as possible locally and the menu will be changing seasonally.

Once food service is finished, lights will be dimmed, the music goes up, and fourth. will become a cocktail bar into the night, with a license until 1am.

The breakfast menu is available from 8:30am through till 3pm, with extra lunch items becoming available from 12. The dinner menu will be available from 5pm till late.

But why is it called fourth.?

The name stems from fact that the owners, Mike Papatolis & his brother Henry, are the fourth generation in their family to own a business on Jetty Road.

Their aim is to bring something to Glenelg that is new and fresh and caters for a different market.

The design of fourth. was done by one of Mike and Henry’s good friends at PLY Architecture, Ben Edwards.

They wanted to brighten the space up with a modern yet timeless design and Ben has executed it perfectly.

The brothers wanted to appeal to all demographics of people and make everyone feel comfortable while sitting in their venue.

Ben used lighting and textured effects to make you want to sit in every seat in the bar, while still creating unique spaces in every corner of the venue.

FRAME creative delivered the branding package for fourth., executing consistency from the wall art right down to the coasters and menus.
