Calling all Bubble Tea lovers! A new FREE OzAsia event has been announced and the Glam Adelaide team thinks it will be a hit.
The Bubble Tea Garden celebrates the iconic Taiwanese sensation that has exploded in recent years across the world. The iconic, refreshing, and beloved beverage is so popular, it even has its own national day in its home country!
If you’ve never heard of bubble tea before, here is what you need to know. Bubble tea combines tea with milk or fruit flavouring, then topped with tasty tapioca pearls and shaken vigorously. The chewy tapioca balls (also known as ‘pearls’ or ‘boba’), are commonly soaked in sugar syrup to make them sweet and give the drink and unique texture.
OzAsia Festival is showcasing all things bubble tea with a two-day event that will take over Festival Plaza, complete with fun activities and exciting new bubble tea flavours exclusive to Bubble Tea Garden.
“OzAsia’s Bubble Tea Garden is a great opportunity to bring bubble tea fans together to celebrate this iconic delicacy,” says OzAsia Executive Producer, Joon-Yee Kwok.
“We are excited to feature local Taiwanese tea house, Thea, and look forward to revealing our exciting new bubble tea flavours exclusive to Bubble Tea Garden.”
Overlooking Lucky Dumpling Market, Bubble Tea Garden will hopefully become one of the best places to relax in the sunshine with friends and family. It will also be a great pit-stop between In Other Words sessions, and a new favourite hang-out spot at OzAsia Festival.
The Bubble Tea Garden will run for one weekend from Saturday 5 November to Sunday 6 November. The Garden will be open from 12pm – 6pm.
