Cafe by day, Thai restaurant by night opens in Adelaide’s west

A new café and restaurant has opened on Semaphore Road, offering a unique fusion of Asian-inspired brunches and authentic Thai cuisine.

Mali Café and restaurant has recently opened on Semaphore Road, offering a unique fusion of Asian-inspired brunch classics during the day and authentic Thai cuisine in the evening.

Whether you’re craving a fresh Vietnamese salad or a classic egg-style breakfast, their diverse brunch menu offers a range of options like apple crumble porridge or a Korean chicken burger.

As day turns to night, Mali Café transforms into a Thai restaurant, drawing on the team’s experience from their other venture, Six & Five Café, in Norwood. With a wealth of knowledge about Thai cuisine, the team showcases a diverse range of authentic dishes.

Mali Café draws from Six & Five Café in that it also transforms from a café during the day to a Thai restaurant at night. At Six & Five Café, customers can expect delicious Thai dishes with bold flavours, as well as Australian-inspired meals that offer unique tastes and textures.

Mali Café boasts a cool, relaxed vibe that complements its beachside location, making it an ideal spot for locals and visitors. Close to Semaphore beach and just opposite Semaphore IGA, Mali Café is perfectly situated for a post-meal stroll, or a bit of window shopping after a great feed.

“The first time we went to Semaphore Road, we really liked the area, it’s very nice and the people are very friendly,” Owner of Mali Café Randy Lac says.

“Over the next year, we saw the space was for sale, so we went to check it out and we really liked it. We just wanted to have a new challenge.”

Mali Café is an exciting addition to the local scene, having recently opened its doors. With its fresh presence on Semaphore road, locals are encouraged to visit and experience what it has to offer!
