It’s no secret that many of us are somewhat addicted to coffee, and new hotspot Incognito Café is harnessing our love for the delicious beverage.
Headed by long-time barista Brett Dowsett, Incognito Café is serving up all day brunch, as well as breakfast, lunch, and food-to-go, specialising in tasty, handmade dishes, many with a little twist of coffee. Fittingly, Dowsett also owns renowned coffee cart Incognito Espresso, and makes specialty Incognito Cold Brew Coffee.
“The coffee cart is still going,” he chuckles. “And the cold brew range is really present in the cafe’s menu.”
Dowsett talks me through a cold brew, ice cream burger served on a brioche bun, and a beef burger with a coffee infused rub. He also mentions an upcoming menu item: cold brew infused buttermilk polenta pancakes with maple cold brew syrup, mascarpone, and blueberries.
“I’m also pretty pleased with our savoury waffles,” says Dowsett. He tells me they’ve recently dished out the waffles as a “smashed avo” with classic add ons such as halloumi and bacon.
The Plympton café is eco-friendly, and will soon be hosting ‘dessert nights’ (stay tuned for info on what that might entail).
You can find Incognito Café at Shop 1/272 Anzac Hwy, Plympton SA 5038.
