New cafe Kinfolk Bowden delivers a caffeine hit to Plant 3 Bowden

Alex & David started their small batch coffee roastery Kindred Coffee in 2019, and now have their first cafe space in Plant 3 called Kinfolk Bowden.

Get excited coffee lovers! It’s been a long time coming but we are very excited to introduce the newest resident to the Plant 3 Bowden family. Enter Kinfolk Bowden.

Alex & David started their small batch coffee roastery Kindred Coffee in 2019, and now have their first cafe space in Plant 3 called Kinfolk Bowden.

Kinfolk owners Alex and David explain why they decided to open a cafe to display their passion for coffee.

“We are really excited to bring our passion for coffee to Plant 3 Bowden. We have been building Kindred Coffee for the past three years, and have recently completed our very own roastery space. Now roasting on a Probat coffee roaster, we have been able to take our coffee to the next level. Being able to control more variables and being free to experiment more with roasts, has been liberating and has been the biggest strength as we continue to expand their offerings.

With them now having opened their Kinfolk, it has made the owners think bigger when it comes to their offerings.

“The opportunity to showcase what we do directly in such a beautiful and vibrant space is such an exciting opportunity. Bowden already has such a great food culture and we are excited to show our style of what coffee and food can be.

“The local community within Bowden and Plant 3+4 have made us feel so welcome right from day one. With hopes to be open 7 days already in discussion,” Alex and David said.

Initially focusing on coffee, fresh pastries, and a small range of toasties. Plans to offer a cooked to order breakfast menu is in the near future as the full kitchen is soon to be completed. You can expect the classics with a modern take on it.

Owner of Plant 3 Bowden Jonathon Kaitatzis expressed his excitement for Kinfolk being added to the Plant 3 family.

“We are very excited to welcome Kinfolk Bowden to Plant 3. We have some wonderful businesses open during the evening here at Plant 3 but we were on the lookout for an eatery to service our community throughout the morning and daytime. It was the missing piece of our Plant 3 tenancy mix. We couldn’t be more proud to finally have Kinfolk Bowden at Plant 3 serving the perfect morning cuppa and delicious food offerings focusing on local ingredients with their very own roasted coffee beans,” Kaitatzis said.

If you would like to pop in and say hi, you can find Kinfolk Bowden at Plant 3, Fourth St, Bowden, opening Wednesday to Friday 7am – 2pm and Saturday to Sunday 8am – 3pm.
