NEW! Cheeseburger Toasties And Artisan Coffee At This New Prospect Spot

Prepare your body for some of the most mouth-watering gourmet toasties in Adelaide.

Neighbourhood Espresso Bar is a fresh, hole-in-the-wall spot in Prospect.

Here you’ll find a talented team, pumping out specialty coffee and creative toasties from an impressively early hour.

The Neighbourhood Espresso Bar is designed to relieve early-risers, perhaps the kind of wake-up call we’ve all been waiting for.

“We couldn’t have chosen a better spot. There is a real, noticeable, local spirit, and we haven’t had anything but good experiences,” says owner Jimmy.

There’s also far more than good coffee available. Prepare your body for some of the most mouth-watering gourmet toasties in Adelaide.

Choices range from the Mac and Cheese variation made with Gruyere and smoky maple bacon jam, to the Reuben stacked with pastrami, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and house-made Russian dressing.

If you’re after something sweet, the Nutella, raspberry and white chocolate toasted brioche may just hit the spot.

If toasties aren’t your thing, there remains a plethora of delectable goodies.

Freshly baked pastries and vegan doughnuts are delivered each morning by the experts at Abbots & Kinney, and you’ll also find gluten-free, refined-sugar free and raw vegan slices galore.

If you’re not in the mood for a double shot ristretto and a fudgy S’more brownie, there are a range of weekly cups of comfort soup, as well as healthy yet hearty smoothies and juices.

Neighbourhood Espresso Bar is also committed to supporting local South Australian businesses.

You’ll find products from producers including Show Pony Coffee Roasters, the Fleurieu Milk Company, Guilt Free Delights, Bake Romeo and local family market, Schinellas.

It’s no wonder everything tastes so darn good.

Opening just a week before dining restrictions were put in place, the café has been overwhelmed by support from regulars and other small businesses. It has well and truly nestled into the increasingly buzzing bubble of Prospect suburbia.

Jimmy laughs about why he opened the spot, saying, “I’ve spent most of my life sitting around in coffee shops not making any money. I still spend my life sitting around in a coffee shop not making any money. But at least it’s mine.”

We’ll cheers to that. With an espresso. And a Nutella toastie.

You can find Neighbourhood Espresso Bar at 129 Churchill Rd, Prospect.

The cafe is open seven days a week, weekdays from 6am-2pm, weekends from 8am-2pm. Doggos welcome.
