A brand new Summer menu and chef at King William Road eatery 50SIXONE has Adelaide foodies in a frenzy.

Since it first opened its doors just a few months ago, Hyde Park dessert bar 50SIXONE has already cemented its reputation for incredible, inventive desserts served with OTT flair and flavour.

Introducing new chef David Bennett, who has come on board to create a brand new summer menu.

Bennett has created a menu packed with to-die-for fresh new savoury & Sweet selections, perfect for those lazy weekend breakfasts, long lunches or just a quick any-time savoury snack.
The sweet has made room for the savoury, but what hasn’t changed is 50SIXONE’s classy, creative presentation – with exquisite finishing touches, delicious detailing and eye-popping colourful craft.
Everyone already recognises 50SIXONE for the amazing sweet creations on offer, Bennett says.
We are now showcasing our great savoury options, all served with that same power presentation and wow factor.
The great savoury options with a creative twist include the Granola Wake Me Up (housemade granola served with Greek yoghurt, honey and fruit yoghurt popsicle) and Three Cheese & Spinach Waffles a savoury twist on the classic waffle. With wild mushrooms, poached egg and a drizzle of truffle oil.

There’s also the Burgers at Sunrise with smokey bacon and fried egg on a brioche roll with chutney, avocado and feta mash, topped with baby spinach and Gruyere cheese, or try the Hashtag Wow! – potato hash with avocado, rocket, free range poached eggs and a hollandaise sauce (truffle mushrooms optional!).
The fun kids menu includes Don’t Care (folded eggs and bacon on toast) and What Is This? (bircher muesli with fresh fruit and yoghurt).
And check out the new additions to the range Insta-Famous Shakes including Go Bananas, an extravagant choc banana creation and Angels and Demons, a devilish red velvet cupcake sitting on top of the angelic which chocolate milkshake.
For those who can’t go past the sweet, the Red Velvet pancake has made way for the Black Velvet pancake with raspberry mascarpone and black raspberry ice-cream – Trust us, you need to try it! There’s also the Lemon Cheesecake Pancake, which is bright yellow with yellow lemon mascarpone and lemon sorbet on top.

Some of the new dessert offerings include the Choc Waffle Pop, a decadent combo of vanilla ice-cream, white chocolate sauce, popping candy and fresh Belgium chocolate waffles, and the Hot Hot Ricotta cake with blueberry maple syrup, toasted marshmallows and almonds.
50SIXONE is not just about eating – it’s about experiencing, Bennett says.
“We want to create a community of customers who are looking to experience more than just stock-
standard fare. They’re curious, adventurous and ready to try something beyond the ordinary.”
Bennett has more than 25 years experience in the kitchen and has received the highest praise from critics and colleagues alike in his hometown of West Yorkshire and across the United Kingdom.
50SIXONE
50SIXONE has already secured a steady stream of loyal customers who are still forming queues outside the door since its launch in July. It has become a meeting spot, a hub for locals of all ages who marvel at the colourful creations of milkshakes, smoothies and other sweet treats on offer. Now it’s time for the savoury to shine.
With its rustic red brick balls, exposed wooden beams and modern décor, 50SIXONE has become a welcoming one-stop-shop, offering sweet treats and now savoury must-haves, all served up with artistry and imagination.
