How great is the busy season in South Australia? With the Christmas spirit beginning to drift through the air and the sun beginning to shine, it’s great to see the state buzzing with excitement once again.

As the impending silly season gears up, plenty of fun events and activities are happening in Adelaide to get us in the summertime mood.

With lockdowns over and more people out and about, the City of Adelaide has launched a new phone application that guides punters through the city to discover various Christmas displays.

This festive season, download the free Adelaide Christmas Cracker Trail app to find hidden surprises across the city!

There are 14 Christmas activities waiting to be discovered across the CBD and North Adelaide. 

From Christmas quizzes to jokes and badges, as well as selfie filters and augmented reality experiences, there’s something to spark a smile on everyone’s face. 

The trail, which is family-friendly, has been created by local creative animation studio Monkeystack.

The trail can be started at any location and will guide you along a safe and easy path through the city to discover the best festive displays on show. 

From the big Christmas tree at Victoria Square / Tarntanyangga to the giant Santa on Melbourne Street and the Bauble Canopy lighting installation in Peel Street and Vaughan Place, there’s something exciting around each corner. 

Keep your eyes peeled for the Christmas cube or decal at each location to scan the QR code to unlock fun prizes and games unique to each location. 

To get involved all you have to do is download the free app and head to one of the 14 locations to scan the QR code.
