Calling all cocktail lovers! A new bar has opened in Adelaide, with Storytellers Distillery finally opening its long-awaited distillery door aptly named Long Story Short.

The bar will operate alongside the production facilities of the distillery on First Street in Brompton, nestling into the vibrant food and drinks destination just West of the city. Set to open a new chapter in their distilling history Storyteller Distillery is set to be your new favourite neighbourhood bar.

While the distillery established itself last year, the anticipated cocktail bar is opening today. From machine cut ice cubes in your Negronis and a stunning bar boasting an impressive wall of handcrafted spirits – Long Story Short has it all.

“We’re really excited to bring some extra vibrance to the people on the northwestern side of Brompton and Bowden,” says Head Distiller Lachlan Gunner.

“People have been having so much fun at places near their home – I think the amazing people behind Plant 3 and 4 have proven that! We’ve got a great balance between high-quality products and service but also a very welcoming neighbourhood vibe.”

In homage to the ‘hand crafted’ label on their gin bottles, almost everything at Long Story Short was designed by the team and built by experts.

Storyteller Distillery has transformed the warehouse fit-out synonymous with Brompton into a sleek bar that’s just a stone’s throw from the CBD.

Their cocktail list boasts 5 delightfully fruity and floral cocktails, just in time for the warmer weather – and their food menu, curated by nationally recognised chef Simon Bryant, is more reason to stay.

While you’ll have to visit the Brompton bar to see the line-up of mouth-watering mixes, Lachlan was kind enough to give Glam a sneak peek of the menu. Starring on the list will be the Cut the Red Grape cocktail, featuring the distilleries hyperseasonal Grenache spirit, with the Persian Love starring Storyteller’s Volume 1 Gin.

“The hyperseasonal release is something we do each month for subscribers where the spirit completely changes, cut the red grape is a grenache spirit with chilli, lime, coconut, cardamom and rose,” says Lachlan.

Its location, delicious drinks and delicate design positions Long Story Short as the latest place to be for after-work drinks or a relaxing Sunday session.
