Bringing city nightlife to the beach, Grange’s Coastal Delicatessen has upped its ante with the new cocktail classes on offer.
The European style deli is stepping outside of its box as a continental, classic Aussie Deli and inviting guests to learn the art of making their own cocktails Coastal Delicatessen style.
The owner Shaun Pattinson has previously worked in the cocktail industry and knows first-hand enjoyment people find in being involved in making their own drinks.
“When I had a cocktail bar years ago, we used to run regular cocktail making classes and beer/wine and spirit masterclasses,” Shaun said.
With Little Band Brewery and Hey Diddle Wine events coming up soon, Shaun said it seemed like the perfect time to give people in the western suburbs the chance to immerse in the fun.
“I thought it was the perfect chance for people in the western suburbs to get involved without having to go into the city,” said Shaun.
The classes are tailored to the desires of each group, allowing the participants the freedom to request their cocktail favourites.
“It could be all about a specific spirit or even cocktail period,” said Shaun.
“I know Gin Cocktails and Espresso Martinis will be at the top of most people’s lists, but we hope to introduce people to some classics they may not have tried before as well.”

The cocktail classes are always a private event and can be organised any night that isn’t already booked with another event.
Lasting for 3 hours (6 pm to 9 pm), with the minimum requirement being 10 people the classes are perfect for a hens night or just a bit of fun with your crew.
