New dessert, tea and mocktail bar Mirra opens in CBD

Calling all sweet tooth enthusiasts! The luxury dessert, mocktail and tea bar, Mirra, has opened in the CBD – just in time for SA’s sizzling summer.

Experience the finer things in life and let your senses be taken on a tantalising journey, with the new bar offering exquisite desserts, specialised high teas and a wide assortment of fun mocktails.

The sweet treats at Mirra are endless – from a hero chocolate fondue tap to cupcakes, macaroons, scones, and weekly dessert specials – there is something to satisfy everyone’s sugar cravings.

Mirra’s manager Lili Tsang said she is thrilled to play a part in the dreamy bar opening, which offers the city’s first and only dessert, tea and mocktail offering.

“Visitors can relish in the array of incredible dessert aromas and immerse themselves in the ambience of this amazing new setting,” says Lili.

“Being able to catch up with friends and loved ones over sweet treats and decadent drinks is so important for the soul.

“Mirra is all about providing an elegant dessert and beverage experience that will leave people with a truly lasting memory.”

Mirra’s design is just as sweet as its offerings, from its subtle pastel fit-out to the fine china cups that rest perfectly in the palm of your hand and the leafy East Terrace patio.

If you’re craving something cooler, gelato might take your fancy – with Mirra boasting an impressive eight flavours. From a zesty lemon sorbet to the classic mint chocolate and cookies and cream, cool off from the warmer weather with a generous serving of the delicious icy treat.

“Your heart, soul and tastebuds will thank you for it, and leave you wanting to plan your next visit,” says Lili.

Ringing true to their “meet, sip, indulge” ethos, Mirra is pouring an array of herbal teas that “rejuvenate your soul.”

Visitors can choose from a selection of teas across six or blended, herbal and wellness teas to brighten your day. Customise your cup by adding selective blending ingredients such as rose petals, jasmine flower or lavender.  

For a bit of cheeky fun, sip your way through the contemporary mocktail menu that is designed to thrill. With zero per cent alcohol, a fusion of flavours awaits, with mixes of Fluere Gin – with juniper, lime peels, lavender and coriander – and Sea Arch Gin – with bitter grapefruit, sweetness and spice of blood orange and coriander – starring on the menu.

For coffee lovers, Mirra specialises in a zero-alcohol Hazelnut Espresso Martini and Chai Espresso Martini. If these don’t entice you – there is also an array of daily mocktail specials for you to pick from!

Mirra is located at the corner of Grenfell St and East Terrace in the CBD. The dessert, mocktail and tea bar is open Tuesday to Sunday 11am to 9pm, and Sunday 11am to 6pm.
