If you’re looking to escape the new year’s stress and stay on vacation all year round, McLaren Vale’s newest wine bar is the place to be.
This new European-style wine bar is set to stun with its wide range of both international and local wines, General Manager Pete Capurso explains that “It really was about wanting to provide the local community access to a variety of wines they’d otherwise never be able to try”.
When creating Bodega, Pete’s vision was to bring wines that may be available in cities such as Adelaide and Melbourne to McLaren Vale where the lack of diversity in wines was evident to him. Pete wanted to bring “wines that we love” closer to home as well as embracing the local wines that we all love so much.
“We wanted to make international wines more accessible to people in McLaren Vale,” Pete explained, “creating an environment where people could enjoy different wines at a reasonable price point was the driving force behind Bodega”.
Cocktail enthusiasts are urged not to stress, beyond the stunning allure of the vintage charm that is Bodega, they also offer full cocktail service. Among popular favourites like the Bellini, they also offer their signature cocktails Bodega Spritz and Bodega No.1, both providing a refreshing and unique element to their list of beverages.
“Bodega is a classic 1940’s speakeasy vibe, the old building style helping in creating that atmosphere,” Pete explains, “We wanted to create a comfortable space where people can expand their knowledge of wines and educate themselves at a reasonable price.”
This new establishment will be open from 4pm to late Wednesday to Friday and from 2pm to late on Saturday to Sunday.
