Are you singing in the shower or have a secret talent that you have never had the opportunity to express or share with others? Well FestXpress is giving you the chance to step out of your comfort zone and show the world what you’ve got!
Commencing on the 16th of August through to the 31st of August 2019, this brand new Adelaide Festival will give local SA talent who are not already established the opportunity to shine.
The festival will give you a platform to produce your own show, perform on stage in front of your friends and family and express yourself with the arts in any way you want.
Whether you’re in a local band, an actor, standup comedian, painter, poet or maybe a dancer who wants to unleash their inner showgirl, FestXpress wants you to share your magic whilst feeling supported and safe to express yourself in a non-competitive environment.
FestXpress director and founder, Mark Charrett says, “There is so much homegrown talent right here in SA and we want to give people the opportunity to be apart of something.”
“There’s no festival in Adelaide to give those the opportunity to have a shot something without being in the big league or competing with international artists which is why we’ve created FestXpress.”
‘We want to give everyone the opportunity to express themselves in any form they wish, whist helping them along the way,” Mark says.
FestXpress is the perfect stepping-stone to help develop confidence and experience in those artists wanting to be part of a bigger festival such as the Fringe.
The festival welcomes artists of all ages and experience levels and will provide support and mentoring throughout the process.
