NEW! First Of Its Kind Whisky Distillery & Brewery Coming To Cudlee Creek

Cudlee Creek is set to welcome a first of its kind whiskey distillery and craft beer brewery hybrid, early next year.

There’s a new kid on the block in the fire-torn town of Cudlee Creek, that’s set to put the Adelaide Hills town back on the map with a whisky distillery and brewery.

The first of its kind Union Bridge Brewery & Distillery is set to open later in the year, with owners Steve O’Connor and Gerri Milham excited to finally see their four-year plan come to life.

“We’re still in the early stages at the moment, but are super excited to see our doors open around Christmas after a long time in the works,” Mr O’Conner said.

The duo are no stranger to South Australia’s innovative beverage scene, owning the popular online craft beer and spirits hub, Beverage SA.

The opening of Union Bridge could not come at a better time for tourism in the Adelaide Hills, following the tragic bushfires and COVID-19 restrictions.

“After a challenging start to the year for the Adelaide Hills, it’s great that we can contribute to some positive news for our community,” Mr O’Connor said.

The cellar door will serve and sell six locally brewed beers, as well as their much anticipated ‘Union Bridge’ whisky range.

We can all agree that whisky and beer on an empty stomach is never ideal, so the team will also be serving up light meals for patrons, including pizza and tapas.

Keep up to date on the Union Bridge developments here.
