Brand-new food truck, Jhol Mo:Mo, is set to open this Saturday May 25th, bringing exciting authentic Nepalese cuisine to Glandore Oval.

When speaking to the owners, Anuj K.C. and Sushil Ranjit, they explained that Jhol MO:MO will be one of the only Nepalese food trucks in Adelaide.

“We are trying to open something for our community while creating a place to introduce our food to the Australian people.”

The owners have incredible experience in the food business, but this new venture aims to create a place to experience food like they do back home.

“It’s just a hobby, cooking food. I’ve been in the food industry for the last 11 years in Australia, and now I thought it was the perfect time to start investing in and serving our own Nepalese food… I don’t often get street food here like I do back home, so I am excited for this venture,” says Sushil.

The star of the menu will be their namesake, the Jhol Momo. Jhol Momo is a steamed dumpling with a meat filling and is a popular street food in Nepal. The food truck is a chance for the owners to introduce this Nepalese Classic to Adelaide’s southwest.

“You can find Jhol Momo everywhere in Nepal, we’re excited to be one of the only places in Adelaide that is serving it.”

Along with this, another signature dish will be their Harisidhi Ko Chatamari. Chatamari is “almost like a pizza”, with the base crepe-like, but made with rice flour. It is then topped with spiced meat, egg, and veg and jam-packed with buckets of flavour.

So, if you feel like trying some authentic Nepalese food, head down to Glandore Oval on May 25th to visit the Jhol MO:MO food truck, which after Saturday will be open Tuesday to Sunday, 3pm to 9pm.
