The new GU Film House Glenelg, an arthouse cinema concept in a purpose built cinema complex, will open its doors to the public tomorrow (Thursday, 24 March 2016) in Glenelg. The GU Film House will specifically cater to an emerging trend for intimate cinema formats screening niche, arthouse and main stream releases.
The Glenelg cinema consists of 6 screens seating from 100 up to 207 with large leatherette seats, the decor is subtlety understated with a style and finesse that blends in well with this new arthouse concept. Complete with an onsite licensed café consisting of a curated food menu, GU Film House offers the complete cinema experience.
The GU Film House is located just off the busy shopping precinct of Jetty Road on Cowper Street with onsite parking and other retail outlets. The new complex is also easily accessible by public transport.
“This cinema complex has been a joy to work on knowing we have been a part of bringing cinema back to the Glenelg area,” said developer Andrew Taplin. “It will compliment an already vibrant tourism destination and adds to a long list of amazing tourists activities, locals and visitors alike can participate in while here.”
