New Grang and Grove Kitchen opens In Allenby Gardens

A colourful new restaurant has popped up close to the city at Allenby Gardens. Grang and Grove Kitchen is a new fusion of Mediterranean and Australian cuisines. This fresh spot brings life to the community and endorses family-run restaurants.

Started by a brother and sister duo, who arrived in Australia 10 years ago to fulfil this vision, owners Parneet Kaur and Hari Singh have eight years of hospitality industry expertise, and aim to bring family spirit to their local area.

Originally living in India, their cuisine matches the places they have been influenced by over the years. The family has had different experiences in the industry, but they now want to enrich their community by opening this restaurant.

“It’s kind of fun getting to share that passion about the food with the local community here, like, and we have found our skills in various kitchens, learning the best about the Australian modern Australian cuisine,” Parneet said.

The owners intend to serve Allenby Gardens with fresh food and a wide selection of creative meals.

“We have worked in different kitchens and learned different ways of cooking and that’s our combined experience when we share with our community,” Parneet said. “The quality of ingredients and different authentic flavours – that’s what we want to create with our own space to deliver different ideas for cooking.”

The menu is stacked with traditionally loved meals in Australia with a range of pizza, pasta and everything Italian. You can grab a schnitty or a parmi if you’re feeling especially ‘adventurous.’

Their service covers the full-day transforming from an ideal brunch spot to a flashy dining experience at night. With Grang and Grove’s dessert menu, you can find eye-catching picks like biscoff pancakes and choc cheese waffles. There is also a gelato cabinet to choose your favourite flavours.

A range of drink options are on display with cocktails on the way in the coming months. This will be served at their bar, but you can still grab mocktails, milkshakes, soft drinks or fruit juice if you’re in the mood for something sweet.

As you enter Grang and Grove Kitchen, you are met with the friendly staff who greet you. There is a heavy emphasis on fresh quality ingredients and flavourful food. The walls and furniture blend to have a cool tone, inspiring comfort and calmness. Vibrant plants are placed around the restaurant for the same reason.

“Freshness – that is the theme for our restaurant that with combining all the fresh local ingredients we use for the modern Australian cuisine and that’s how we choose our dining area vibe,” Parneet said.

“We want to bring up different cultural and traditional vibes with the food with our specials. Those specials are local flavours from our country.”

The Grang and Grove Kitchen is growing everyday with exciting prospects for the Allenby Gardens area.
