Hanamura Norwood, a contemporary Japanese restaurant, has recently opened up on The Parade.
Specialising in Sushi and Japanese charcoal grilled skewers, yakitori, Hanamura intends to be a destination for exquisite food, friendly service, and ambience.
With Hanamura meaning ‘flower village’, the restaurant’s decor certainly isn’t arbitrary.
Wisteria envelops the ceiling, dangling over the sleek timber seating, and the interior is contemporary and expansive.
Indeed, according to owner, Chen Shen, the inspiration came from Japan’s wisteria gardens.
The restaurant is also offering a carefully selected range of Japanese Sake, Beers and Whiskeys, and local beer, wines, and cocktails.
Shen already runs Modbury dining spot, Sushi Planet, with Hanamura serving as his most recent project.
In the near future, a sushi train service will be also be available.
You can find the restaurant at Shop 14 /185 The Parade, Norwood.
