We don’t need to introduce you to the typical Aussie footy food offerings we all know and love, like meat pies and hot chips. But now, Adelaide Oval is extending that kiosk menu to include a wider range of items.
They’ve just announced that there will be eighteen new food options, gluten-free and vegan items included.
“While a bucket of hot chips and a pint of is still a staple at the footy, our new kiosk and bar menu gives fans what they’ve been asking for – more variety and absolute top quality,” Adelaide Oval CEO Nick Addison says.
Among the new choices are gourmet burgers (with gluten free and vegan options available) buffalo wings, Mexican-style wraps and, for the health-conscious, new sandwiches and salads.

Salads will range from $13-$14, gourmet rolls will be $12, burger prices will start from $13 and artisan pizzas will be $14-$15.
There will also be a Soonta Vietnamese outlet in the eastern stand which will serve banh mi rolls and salad bowls. It will sit alongside the ever popular Ben & Jerry’s outlet.
“Everything we do at Adelaide Oval is geared towards giving fans the best possible live event experience and elevating it far beyond what they’d enjoy at home on the couch,” Addison says.
The return of canned beverages to the venue, after SA Police raised concerns of the dangers of throwing cans last year, will also be celebrated with a slew of 10 new drink options.
Added to the mix will be a range of hard seltzers and gluten-free beers. Among that list will be a range of Smirnoff Seltzers, White Claw hard seltzers, gluten-free and alcohol-free beers, alcoholic ginger beer and Suntory lemons.
While it’s exciting the the range of food and drink options has been significantly extended for footy goers this year, the prices of their options last year will be rising.
The price of a full strength beer will set back fans $9.40, which has increased by 50c since 2022 and a small coffee will also be increasing by the same amount to $5.50.
The classic hot chips will be increasing by 30c to $6.30 and a footy meat pie will be up 40c from last year to $5.40.
Adelaide Oval says it’s continuing the kiosk experience through new technology to speed up the service. A new ‘can only’ bar will be introduced to the southern concourse from round one, with updates to point of sale technology expected later in the AFL season.
All of these offerings will be in action at the first footy round at Adelaide Oval tomorrow with Port Adelaide V Brisbane.
