New Korean barbecue, K-BabyQ, opens in Norwood

Opening September 30, the exciting new addition to the parade K-BabyQ will be dishing up modern Korean eats bringing a fun Korean BBQ experience.

A new Korean barbecue restaurant K-BabyQ is opening on The Parade Norwood and it sounds amazing. Opening September 30, the exciting new addition to The Parade will be dishing up modern Korean eats.

The new eatery says that they are excited to bring something new to the Korean barbecue dining scene. 

“K-BabyQ is a modern Korean restaurant dedicated to bringing a fun Korean BBQ experience to Norwood while elevating and innovating the category,” they shared on social media. 

“[The restaurant] promises the highest quality Korean BBQ in Adelaide with products sourced from Australia’s most award-winning meat suppliers.”

Diners will be able to try a range of entrée’s from Korean rice cakes to homemade dumplings.

The restaurant will be serving BBQ sets for two to four people which is a perfect option for sharing. Depending on which set you choose, these include a range of meats with pork belly, marinated galbi, ox tongue, waygu striploin, waygu oyster blade, waygu short rib meat and waygu scotch fillet.

All sets come with purple rice, SSAM Plate (leafy vegetables to wrap the meats in) and ice cream for a sweet treat!

K-BabyQ will also be serving some of Australia’s finest full blood wagyu beef. This is sourced from Adelaide-based Mayura Station aka chocolate fed waygu, award-winning and internationally-recognised producer Jack Creek, and Australia’s first ever back-to-back winner Stone Axe Wagyu.

There will also be South Australian angus beef and prime pork for meat lovers to try. Diners can feel free to add extras to spice up their cooking from truffle salt and smoked salt to mushroom and pumpkin.

To go along with the smokey BBQ feast, K-BabyQ will be pouring a range of soju, beer and wine, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.

The interior of the restaurant comes from hospitality and retail design agency Faculty Design and fits in with the modern clean aesthetic of K-BabyQ. It has dark cerulean walls that incorporate the brand’s logos. The space will have ample natural light from tall windows, hanging lights, and dine-in seating on both tables and window benches. 

Their cool orange and blue branding and logo of an artistically designed cupid was designed by graphic designer Take Heed.

K-BabyQ is located at 85 The Parade, Norwood.

They will be open 5:30pm till late every day besides Tuesdays.
