NEW magazine launches in the Adelaide Hills

The Hills Wanderer, produced by The Courier and Adelaide Hills Magazine Founder Mikyla Gilbert, will be a quarterly magazine launching in September.

Adelaide Hills Magazine Founder and Publishing Editor, Mikyla Gilbert, is working with the team at The Courier to launch a new magazine called the Hills Wanderer.

The Courier team is thrilled to present a quarterly magazine which will provide a season snapshot of the Adelaide Hills, showcasing its unique people, places and events.

The Courier newspaper publishes approximately 7000 copies each week, has a readership of around 22,000 people and is read by up to 90% of households in some areas of the Adelaide Hills.

The Courier is recognised as the benchmark of country newspapers in SA and has been identified among the very best in Australia.

“It’s an exciting time for The Courier to branch out with its own magazine,” said Editor, Elisa Rose.

“Since the Adelaide Hills Magazine ceased printing and with COVID greatly affecting local business, it’s fabulous to be able to launch in Spring 2022 and provide a new publication to share the wonderful stories of our region and provide a high-end marketing opportunity for our clients.”

With insightful stories about locals and world-class places and experiences, Mikyla and The Courier believe the Hills Wanderer will not only become a must-read for those who want to explore their own backyard but a valuable resource for visitors.

With a premium finish, large circulation, an aspiration to grow, and a three-month shelf life, this magazine will offer businesses maximum exposure within the Adelaide Hills community and further afield.

“It’s been a long time coming, but this time working with The Courier, bringing back a magazine to the region will become a reality, “ added Marketing Manager, Mikyla Gilbert.

“People have been calling and even stopping me in the street to tell me how excited they are to see the first edition”, she added.

The first edition will be released in mid-September.
