New Malaysian eatery, Lai’s Pantry, opens in Adelaide’s Northwest

Adelaide’s Northwest has gained a new Malaysian eatery with Lai’s Pantry, and they are serving up a storm.

Everyone loves Malaysian food, and now, there is a new joint to add to your regular Malaysian food rotation.

Say hello to Lai’s Pantry, the new restaurant taking Adelaide’s Northwest by storm.

The menu features a whole host of delicious Malaysian foods and drinks, including Nasi Lemak, Hainanese Chicken Rice, Char Kueh Teow, Laksa, Wantan Mee, Teh Tarik (Malaysian Style Pulled Milk Tea) and more.

We spoke to Nelson Lai from Lai’s Pantry, who was incredible excited about this new venture.

“Definitely has been very exciting for us as a family to be back serving the Malaysian food that many Adelaidians have enjoyed in the past,” shares Nelson.

“For the past month we have been open, it has been a busy one to say the least! Often finding that there is a line up outside full of hungry customers.”

This is not the Lai Pantry team’s first eatery. Previously, they have had Chef Lai Noodle Cafe and Kopitim before that, all located in the Chinatown Precinct.

“We are happy to be back serving delicious Malaysian food to the community and our regulars who have dearly missed us over the past few years and introducing Malaysian food to new people,” shares Nelson.

“The business is family run with my father, Jimy, being the master of all the delicious food.”

Looking for a recommendation from their flourishing menu? Nelson highly suggests their Dry Wotonn Noodles. Thin egg noodles mixed in with our special soya sauce, topped with char siu and greens, with a side of wontons in a chicken broth. Yum!

Lai’s Pantry trades six days a week from 11am to 8pm.

You can find them at 3/270 Hanson Road, Mansfield Park.
