New off-grid luxury tiny home ‘Bandari’ launches on SA’s Eyre Peninsula with stunning ocean views

EYRE.WAY has launched Bandari, their latest eco-luxury tiny home nestled atop Sleaford Bay’s cliffs, offering spectacular ocean views and sustainable living on South Australia’s scenic Eyre Peninsula.

A family-operated business, EYRE.WAY has recently introduced Bandari, its third luxury off-grid tiny home, located on South Australia’s picturesque Eyre Peninsula. The announcement is a significant expansion of the brand’s portfolio, which already includes popular accommodations Maldhi and Yambara.

Situated on the striking coastal cliffs of Sleaford Bay, Bandari is distinguished as EYRE.WAY’s closest to the water accommodation. This provides guests with exceptional ocean views and a chance to explore the local flora that thrives in this serene location.

The design of Bandari integrates warm, earthy tones with timber elements and terracotta fixtures, creating minimalistic, but luxurious vibe, all while encouraging a connection with nature while having a low impact on the environment.

Co-founder of EYRE.WAY, Amanda Hogg, shared “Our goal has always been to create unique, secluded stays that allow guests to truly immerse themselves in the beauty of the Eyre Peninsula.

“With Bandari, we’re offering an unparalleled off-grid experience that combines eco-conscious design with breathtaking natural surroundings.”

Bandari operates solely on a solar-battery system, featuring amenities such as reverse-cycle air conditioning, instant gas hot water, and high-speed WiFi. The accommodation, designed to house two guests, comprises a well-equipped kitchen and a versatile lounge area that doubles as sleeping quarters, with high-quality bedding sourced from Bed Threads and I Love Linen.

The development of Bandari was a collaborative effort with local architect Duncan Moore, with Tim Hogg, Amanda’s co-founder and partner, leading much of the construction, working with local tradespersons.

“We’re incredibly proud to work with local talent and contribute to the region’s tourism economy,” Tim Hogg shared.

“Every aspect of EYRE.WAY has been designed with sustainability and community in mind, from the way we build to the way we host.”

Interest in tiny homestays has surged in recent years, according to travel trends within Australia. Data from the Tiny Homes Market Trends 2023 Growth: 2030 Report indicates a 127% increase in demand for tiny house rentals over the last two years, with projections suggesting this sector could reach $39.5 million by 2028. This growth is attributed to a heightened interest in sustainable, cost-effective accommodation options.

“The appetite for sustainable travel has never been stronger,” Amanda Hogg said.

“More Australians are seeking out stays that allow them to escape, recharge, and experience nature without sacrificing comfort, and we can’t wait to welcome more people to stay in our tiny homes and immerse themselves in all the beauty of the Eyre Peninsula.”

The origin of EYRE.WAY dates back to 2014 when Amanda and Tim Hogg began sharing their Port Lincoln home on Airbnb. Their journey of using ‘Frankie’ the Caravan for living and exploring remote areas of the Eyre Peninsula influenced their concept and creation of luxury tiny homes. With the launch of Bandari, and a fourth home expected to be revealed within the next year, EYRE.WAY continues to enhance its unique lodging offerings.

Reservations for EYRE.WAY’s premium tiny homes start at $550 per night. Additional wellness and welcome packages are available for guests looking to further enrich their stay.
