Op Shop enthusiasts are about to have another treasure-trove to fossick through, with tomorrow’s opening of a new RSPCA South Australia Op Shop east of the city.
Located at 68 The Parade in Norwood, the store will open for the first time at 9am tomorrow morning, giving shoppers added incentive to be part of a “Back to the Parade” VIP Shopping Day and Sidewalk Sale organized by the City of Norwood, Payneham and St Peters.
The Norwood store is RSPCA South Australia’s 8th Op Shop, with other stores located in Ridgehaven, Sefton Park, Kidman Park, Semaphore, Blackwood, Brighton and Marden.
RSPCA’s Op Shops Operations Manager Meg Gill said the opening of a new store reflected increasing positivity within the charity as it continues to manage the financial fallout of this year’s Covid-19 restrictions.
“We closed our stores for three months back in mid-March, as the restrictions came into force, but they’re all back in business now,” Gill said.
“We’re incredibly excited to have a new store opening in the premium commercial precinct of Norwood.
“Tomorrow’s Sidewalk Sale is an ideal chance to explore what The Parade has to offer – and pick up some bargains.
“We hope our community gets behind us in this new venture, and also supports all the businesses along The Parade which – like us – have been doing it tough these past few months.”
RSPCA South Australia CEO Paul Stevenson will officially open the new store at 9am tomorrow. Early shoppers can take home some give-away petcare products and treats from RSPCA PetVille.
In addition, anyone who finds and photographs their Grand Opening bargain purchase and shares it on Instagram with #rspcasaopshops this weekend will go in the draw for a $50 Op Shop Voucher.
