New panini bar ‘Love Your Mamma’ will join the Adelaide culinary scene on Monday, paying a special tribute to family, food and Italian flavours in the heart of Pirie Street.
Brought to you by the owner of Luigi Delicatessen, Luigi Di Costanzo, Love Your Mamma is a tribute to Luigi’s beloved mother, who he worked together with at Luigi before her passing.
“The name ‘Love Your Mamma’ pays homage to my own mum who started Luigi with me. But it’s not only about my mamma, it’s also about your mamma and everyone else’s mum. And also, Mother Earth,” Luigi says.
Love Your Mamma is a delicatessen-style panini bar, or as Luigi describes it, an ‘Italian gourmet Subway model,’ where you can choose from an array of ingredients, including mortadella, meatballs, prosciutto and more.
Paninis can be custom-made and will be prepared right in front of you using bread baked fresh in the kitchen by Love Your Mamma’s very own in-house baker—so you’re in for a melt-in-your-mouth tasting experience.
Love Your Mamma is an expansive and stunning space, completed by FDC Construction and Fitout, and has been specifically designed to cater for busy schedules with their quick ‘grab and go’ service. You can also choose to dine in on one of the many low and high tables and booths too.
Luigi’s strategic choice of a long coffee bar will enable baristas to pump out quick coffees during the peak hour morning coffee rush, and due to its location in a commercial area in a new office building, the venue will no doubt be an appealing coffee and lunch spot for busy workers on the go.
Their delicious Italian gourmet street food is lovingly prepared in the large open-plan kitchen, and the team are passionate about making sure everyone enjoys the love and warmth of a home-cooked meal, ‘just like Mamma used to make.’
“We feel it’s a fantastic celebration for us to now showcase our Italian street food to Adelaide, and we’re all really excited,” Luigi says.
Luigi had a clear vision of how he wanted the venue to look, and he designed it with his wealth of hospitality knowledge in mind.
A large atrium adorned with live greenery is an eye-catching feature, and all the front doors to the venue can be opened during summer.
The space will also be available to hire for events, with the ability to cater for the entire office or any desired gathering—with no event too big or too small.
Luigi Delicatessen opened 10 years ago and has deemed itself a firm Adelaide favourite, famous for its delicious and often rotating Italian menu. So famous, in fact, that the restaurant has won the title of Adelaide’s best Italian for two consecutive years.
Although Love Your Mamma is a different venue from Luigi Delicatessen entirely, it will provide the same expertise and love of Italian food, proudly stating, “We tell the story because the product will speak for itself.”
