In case you didn’t know, November is World Vegan Month, and what better way to celebrate than dining at Adelaide CBD’s newest vegan restaurant, Smiley Vegan.
Bringing you all the bold and vibrant flavours from the Mediterranean, owner Sam Mina has opened a new location in Rundle Mall to fulfil your vegan cravings.
Serving Lebanese classics like kebabs, burgers and souvlaki Smiley Vegan is determined to deliver authentic Mediterranean flavours for vegan foodies.
Sam has been in the business for over 7 years, with Smiley Vegan first operating out of the family business, Almina’s on Prospect.
Now, they’ve expanded to their new city location in Adelaide Central Plaza to provide hearty and delicious everyday foods with a vegan twist.

“We are different to most vegan outlets because we are producing flavours that are the same as non-vegan foods, that’s why we’re popular,” says Sam.
The Smiley Vegan focuses less on glitz and glamour, and more on bringing its customers an authentic, traditional Lebanese experience.
With a vegan take on the classic Lebanese best sellers like the sumac chicken manakeesh and the shawarma plate, the restaurant also offers dishes that are a bit closer to home, such as the chicken schnitzel burger pack.
Whether you’re a disciplined vegan, an adventurous foodie, or just simply looking for delicious bite in Rundle Mall, Smiley Vegan promises to offer a classic and tasty menu.

Sam hopes to expand to new locations within the CBD and potentially take Smiley Vegan interstate in order to start building a Mediterranean vegan restaurant empire
The Smiley Vegan is open every day in Shop LG24 Adelaide Central Plaza.
